The mercury's dropping outside, but things are heating up at MoMA, from DJ Tropical Jeremy setting the mood for MoMA Nights (tomorrow night) to a retrospective of films by Bernardo Bertolucci, including the steamy Last Tango in Paris (December 30). In the galleries, a major exhibition of Andy Warhol's black-and-white short films opens December 19, spotlighting one of the most daring periods in his career. You'll want to stop by more than once this month, especially if you're a Foursquare user—check in three times in a month to get a new MoMA badge, redeemable for a great membership discount.

New York Magazine called Abstract Expressionist New York “the season's talking point,” and now there's a great way to dig deeper into the stories and ideas behind this show: our first-ever iPad App, now available as a free download. Deepen your knowledge even more with an online course on Abstract Expressionism (registration opens December 8 for Winter/Spring 2011 online courses). Or join today to take advantage of a terrific Ab Ex NY benefit just for members: private morning viewing hours, with breakfast available at Terrace 5 (through December 13).

Looking for gifts for the art lovers in your life? MoMA's beautiful, award-winning books are a great place to start—sign up for quarterly MoMA Books E-News to hear about new titles. Finally, if you'd like to give the Museum a gift this holiday season, a tax-deductible annual fund contribution is a wonderful way to provide crucial funding for the collection, exhibition, education, conservation, and publication programs that you and your loved ones enjoy.
